Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Protutor, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this service.

Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily use Protutor for personal, non-commercial learning purposes. This is a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

• Modify or copy the materials or software

• Attempt to reverse engineer any software contained in Protutor
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notations
• Transfer the materials to another person or mirror on any other server

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use Protutor, you must:

• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the service.

User Content

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for all content you upload to Protutor, including PDFs. You agree that:

• You own or have the right to use all uploaded content
• Your content does not violate any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights
• Your content does not contain illegal, harmful, or offensive material
• You will not upload malware, viruses, or malicious code

Our Rights

By uploading content, you grant Protutor a non-exclusive license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing our services (generating quizzes and flashcards). We will not share your content with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., OpenAI API for content generation).

AI-Generated Content

Protutor uses artificial intelligence (OpenAI) to generate quiz questions and flashcards. Please note:

• AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
• You should verify the accuracy of generated content
• We are not responsible for incorrect information in AI-generated materials
• Generated content is for educational purposes only

Usage Limits and Restrictions

To ensure fair usage, we implement the following limits:

• API Rate Limits: Per-user daily limits on AI content generation
• File Size: Maximum PDF file size restrictions
• Storage: Reasonable storage limits per user

Excessive use, automated access, or attempts to circumvent these limits may result in account suspension.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Scrape or systematically extract data from the service
• Use automated tools (bots, scripts) without permission
• Upload copyrighted material without authorization

Intellectual Property

The service, including its design, features, graphics, and software, is owned by Protutor and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Protutor is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Protutor or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, or other intangibles, arising from:

• Your use or inability to use the service
• Unauthorized access to your data or account
• Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content
• Any other matter relating to the service

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Protutor and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.
